Columbia Fusion Research Center promotes basic research, knowledge and technical transfer, workforce development, and public outreach to accelerate fusion science and technology. Born from Columbia’s long-established Plasma Physics Laboratory, the Center unites faculty in mechanical engineering, applied math, plasma astrophysics, energy policy, and more, and beyond to address global energy challenges with an interdisciplinary lens.
